It is a vivid description of love and of a heart that oozes love. Nasira has captured within the ambit of her pen, the everyday experiences of life around which the most decisive aspects of life may pivot. Shahida Hasan, herself an academic, evaluating the work, praised Nasira. According to her, Nasira has the rare ability to capture the intensity of the vagaries of life and fate.
"Nasira could easily be equated with the late Parveen Shakir even though she has her own inimitable style which is so poignant," said Asghar Nadeem Syed, a noted writer. "Nasira has demonstrated the relevance of the Ghazal in the modern day," he added. Noted Indian Urdu scholar Dr Shamim Hanafi heaped praise on her talent, especially her highly impressive diction.
Noted poet Sarmad Sehbai termed her poetry a welcome departure from the stereotype as in her verse, gender was relegated to a secondary place. He said that Nasira dealt with the issues of life from a purely human angle as good luck and tragedy don't distinguish between the genders.
Acknowledging the accolades heaped on her by critics and the audience, a beaming Nasira said, "My poetry is my inner voice. It is a description and a profound treatment of life's situations". Nasira said that she just did not believe that men and women were competitors but thought that they were two complements of a whole. Men and women, she said, were subject to the same trials and tribulations of life and their hearts beat together.
